Composition

Each tablet contains lynestrenol BP 0.7500 mg and ethinylestradiol USP 0.0375 mg  

General Description

Prescribing a balanced OCP not only ensures that women with balanced cycles will meet few problems, but also avoids aggravating any pattern with existing estrogen or progestogen domination. Thus greater patient acceptance is obtained for all patient groups no matter whether they exhibit normal or disturbed menstrual patterns.
The first requirement foe guaranteed efficacy with oral contraception is 24 hourly tablet administration. However in studies with radioactive labeled Lynestrenol, the biological half life of this substance and its metabolites was shown to be of the order of 40 hours. This justifiably indicates that missing a single Ovostat Gold tablet does not impair the unsurpassed efficacy of this prescription.
